British-Polish Agrifood Forum
|
A series of seminar events aimed at UK companies takes place in parallel to a conference programme in Polish aimed at Polish food producers, processors and marketers interested in doing business with Britain. Subjects to be tackled include the food processing, the organic market, EU funds, promotion of agrifood clusters, marketing and branding, standards and logistics. Small-scale clinics for UK delegates will focus on individual sub-sectors such as dairy, meat and fruit and veg.
Pre-arranged business meetings with Polish entrepreneurs, local authorities with investment land and financiers can be facilitated. There will also be many opportunities throughout the day to informally meet Polish food producers and specialists from the sector. The day will end with a cocktail reception and a chance to sample Polish food and drink while meeting Polish entrepreneurs from the agrifood sector.
There will be plentiful opportunity to sample the best of Polish food and drink. The conference venue, Centrum Falenty, just five miles from Warsaw Airport and ten miles from the city centre, is well-suited to this event, boasting a full-size swimming pool, saunas and fitness centre.
Poland is hot news for British businesses in the agrifood sector:
A fast-growing food market in its own right, with 38.2 million consumers, strong GDP growth, falling unemployment means it the right time to invest in food processing in Poland.
Poland is strategically placed to become a hub for food production and export to the entire Central and Eastern European region (75 million consumers) plus the markets of Russia, Ukraine or Belarus
Poland is an excellent source of high-quality food at competitive prices. With unpolluted land and lots of traditional agriculture, Poland has the potential to be Europe's organic breadbasket. Low labour costs and produce prices make this an excellent location for food processing.
As a low-cost region of the single European market, Poland offers a unique balance of low business risk and high business opportunity. Whether you're a food processor importer or exporter or whether you are involved in food logistics, storage or marketing, you cannot ignore Poland there's too much going on.
