
Fripozo – the quick-frozen foodstuffs company – has announced it has just started the construction of a new product facility. The production center, which should be completed by the middle of 2020, will be the result of a EUR41m investment.
The new facility will be located in the developing industrial area of Torres de Cotillas, in the Murcia region and will allow Fripozo to increase its production capacity by 175% and thus will be exceeding 44,000 tonnes annually.
Moreover, the establishment will feature six food solution production lines which are poised to incorporate the latest food technology available.
According to Grupo Fuertes, the parent company of Fripozo, the investment will see the creation of a total of 70 new jobs in the area. The frozen food firm currently employs 600 people.
The building of the facility is the first part of a larger initiative which is divided in two phases. The second part will culminate with the relocation of the entire company to the new location.
Fripozo which started its activity in 1989 produces, markets and distributes various frozen foods including meat, chicken, fish and vegetable dishes, as well as hamburgers.
