The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) has announced that President and CEO Corey Rosenbusch will depart the association in February to serve as the President and CEO of The Fertilizer Institute. The International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) Board Chairman Andrew B. Janson will chair a search committee to identify GCCA’s next leader.
“Words are inadequate to express our gratefulness and appreciation of Corey’s commitment and dedication not only to the organization but also the industry during his tenure with us. The strategic vision Corey provided for the association will have an enduring impact on our companies and industries,” commented Janson.
Rosenbursch has been with GCCA for 14 years and took over as President in 2012: During his tenure:
- GCCA expanded its global footprint, opening offices in Brazil, Europe, India, Latin America, and South Africa. In addition, GCCA’s international membership and development services grew significantly.
- GCCA adopted a business-outcome based strategic plan, which enabled the launch of new initiatives such as the Global Chain Index, Energy Excellence, and Certified Cold Carrier.
- The Cold Chain Expo and Conference was introduced to deliver the most valuable and comprehensive business-to-business networking event serving the cold chain industry.
“I am proud of what GCCA has accomplished during my 14 years with the association. We have seen increased recognition and understanding of cold chain’s importance in feeding families around the world,” Rosenbusch said.
GCCA Chief Operating Officer Megan Costell has been named GCCA’s interim CEO beginning February 5, 2020 when Rosenbusch departs.
