Royal Cosun has announced the appointment of Chris Deen as the CEO of the Aviko Group, with effect from January 15, 2020. Deen will succeed Ton Chstinaanse who currently holds this position on an interim basis.
Deen has a proven track record in leading businesses in foodservice, food ingredients, and retail. Previously he held the CEO position of Bakkersland, a Dutch manufacturer of daily fresh bread, pastry and in-store bake-off bread. Before that, he held several positions at Sara Lee International, among which General Manager Foodservice Iberia.
At Aviko, Deen’s mission will be to continue and further build upon the company’s growth strategy, while expanding its leadership position and effectively integrating recent and future investments. As CEO of Aviko, Deen will be a member of Cosun’s Executive Board ad report directly to Cosun’s CEO Albert Markusse.
