Del Monte Foods announced the appointment of Jim Caltabiano as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Caltabiano will oversee the management of Del Monte Foods’ financial organization and report to Parag Sachdeva, chief operations officer (COO). He is a seasoned finance professional with nearly 30 years of experience within large consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies, including Ajinomoto Foods, Campbell Soup Company, Procter & Gamble, and General Mills.
In his last position, Caltabiano oversaw the USD1.2bn food sector of the North American division of the global firm while serving as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Ajinomoto Foods North America, a leading manufacturer of frozen foods.
He held a variety of financial leadership positions at Campbell Soup Company for ten years prior to that position, including chief financial officer of Campbell’s USD1bn Fresh Division. Caltabiano was initially hired as VP Strategic & Financial Analysis for Campbell’s North America business, which includes US Soup, Sauces & Beverages, Foodservice, and Canada. Following that, he served as general manager for Plum Organics and VP Finance for Campbell Canada. He also served as VP Finance and interim general manager for the company’s Away from Home segment.
