Eggo is betting on protein to keep its breakfast lineup competitive. The brand, owned by Kellanova, has introduced three new flavors of protein waffles and pancakes, extending a portfolio that promises both convenience and nutrition without compromising taste.
Building on last year’s launch of Chocolate Chip Brownie and Strawberry Delight Protein Waffles, Eggo is now rolling out Buttermilk Vanilla Protein Waffles, Vanilla Protein Pancakes and Blueberry Protein Pancakes. Each serving delivers 20% of the recommended daily protein intake, making Eggo the only leading waffle brand to do so.
The new offerings are designed to appeal to families seeking easy ways to add protein to their morning routines. Buttermilk Vanilla Protein Waffles aim to deliver a balance of crisp texture and cozy flavor, while the Vanilla Protein Pancakes target younger eaters with a straightforward, familiar taste. Blueberry Protein Pancakes add a fruit-driven twist, turning a traditional favorite into what the company calls a protein-rich option for the whole family.

Eggo emphasizes that its protein line provides complete protein, meaning it contains all the essential amino acids the body needs. The waffles can be toasted and served with syrup or fruit, while the pancakes heat quickly in the microwave, a nod to the demands of busy mornings.
The new protein waffles and pancakes are available at retailers nationwide, with a suggested retail price of USD 5.99 for a 10-pack of waffles or a 12-pack of pancakes.
