Protein Pints, a fast-growing ice cream brand emphasizing high protein content, is adding two flavors to its national lineup: Cookies & Cream and Coffee.
The company said both offerings are designed to bring a “protein-first” approach to classic ice cream styles, appealing to consumers seeking indulgence alongside functional benefits.
Cookies & Cream pairs chocolate shortbread cookie crumbles with a protein-rich base made with cream and hints of vanilla and cocoa. The Coffee variety uses medium-roast Colombian beans for nutty, roasty notes, balanced by what the company describes as a smooth, high-protein foundation.
Each pint contains 30 grams of protein, 85% less sugar than conventional ice cream and between 120 and 160 calories per serving. The products are gluten-free and contain no artificial sweeteners, while still delivering what the company calls “a creamy texture without the chalky taste” often associated with protein ice cream.
“We’ve been blown away by the response to Protein Pints since launching nationally earlier this year. Consumers have made our first five flavors a staple in their freezers, and the demand from both shoppers and retail partners made it clear – people are hungry for more,” said Paul Reiss, co-founder and chief executive officer of Protein Pints. “Introducing Cookies & Cream and Coffee allows us to deliver on our early momentum, proving that ice cream can satisfy cravings while supporting protein goals and a health-forward lifestyle.”
Founded two years ago by Reiss and Michael Meadows while they were still in college, the brand has quickly gained traction in the USD 14 billion frozen dessert market. Protein Pints’ growth has been supported by retail partnerships and positive consumer feedback highlighting its texture and flavor. With the addition of two new flavors, the company is positioning itself as an innovative competitor in the functional dessert category.
