Appetais Group Wins Recognition at Milan Food Fair for Shrimp Sauce Product

Appetais Group took third place in the Product Innovation category for ready-made sauces at the Better Future Award 2026, an international food innovation competition held during TUTTOFOOD Milano at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition center in Italy.

The Better Future Award is staged alongside TUTTOFOOD Milano, one of Europe’s prominent trade fairs for the food and beverage industry. The event draws international buyers, retailers, distributors, foodservice professionals, journalists and industry specialists, with the award dedicated to recognizing the most innovative and high-quality products on show.

This year’s competition attracted strong international participation, with entries evaluated across several categories including Product Innovation, Ethics & Sustainability, Packaging Innovation, Away From Home, Private Label, and Wellness & Organic. Each participating company was permitted to submit up to five products for consideration.

The selection process begins a week before the fair opens, when judges identify a Top 100 shortlist. Those products are then displayed in a dedicated Innovation Area on the exhibition floor, giving them prominent exposure to the international visitors and buyers moving through the hall. During the fair itself, a professional jury composed of industry specialists and buyers conducts a further round of evaluation before the final award ceremony, which took place on May 12.

Appetais Group’s “Sughetto ai Gamberi” — a ready-made shrimp sauce — was among the products that advanced through that process, earning the company a podium finish in one of the competition’s most competitive categories. For food brands seeking visibility in international markets, recognition at an event of this scale and reach carries meaningful commercial weight.
