European bakery manufacturer Baker & Baker is introducing a new seasonal offering to the UK in-store bakery market: the Cadbury Snow Balls Cookie.
The launch marks the company’s first winter-themed cookie and builds on the strong performance of the Cadbury Mini Eggs Chocolate Cookie, which delivered record-breaking sales over the past two Easter seasons.
The introduction fills a notable gap in the market, where no dedicated winter-themed cookie currently exists. By combining the popularity of Cadbury’s Snow Balls confectionery with the appeal of freshly baked in-store cookies, Baker & Baker aims to drive consumer trial and impulse purchases during the holiday season.
The limited-edition cookie is baked fresh in stores and features Cadbury’s signature chocolate cookie dough filled with mini Snow Ball pieces. It also represents the first time the Snow Balls brand has entered the UK bakery category. The product joins the existing Cadbury in-store bakery cookie lineup, which includes Dairy Milk Chocolate & Orange, Dairy Milk, and Dairy Milk Caramel varieties.
Sold in packs of four with a recommended retail price of £2.00, the Cadbury Snow Balls Cookie will be available from early November at major retailers including Coop, Asda, Morrisons, and Sainsbury’s.
“We’re excited to introduce the Cadbury Snow Balls brand into the fresh bakery category,” said Michael Bancroft, Licensing Director at Baker & Baker. “Driven by a growing consumer appetite for brands in fresh bakery, this is the first time the ‘nation’s favorite’ Cadbury brand is landing on the in-store bakery aisle for the winter season. We believe the chocolate cookies format will generate significant consumer appeal, impulse purchase and play a key role in driving the ‘seasonal snacking’ occasion.”
Baker & Baker maintains an exclusive licensing partnership with Mondelēz to produce and distribute fresh bakery products under major brands such as Milka, Oreo, and Cadbury across Europe. In-store activations will accompany the rollout beginning in November, designed to boost visibility and encourage spontaneous purchases during the busy holiday shopping period.
