Lou Malnati’s Introduces Triple-Pepperoni Pizza

Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria said it is introducing a new limited-time menu item during National Pizza Week, adding a pepperoni-heavy offering to its lineup as the Chicago chain looks to appeal to customers seeking bolder flavors.

The company said the new Trippple Peppp Pizza features three stacked layers of premium pepperoni, combining crispy cupped slices, smoky pepperoni strips and classic pepperoni to deliver what it described as its most pepperoni-forward pizza to date. Each variety is layered on the company’s signature buttery, flaky crust with Wisconsin mozzarella cheese and California vine-ripened tomato sauce.

The launch marks the first appearance of smoky pepperoni strips on Lou Malnati’s menu, the company said, adding a new flavor profile to the classic combinations that have long been popular with customers.

“We’re always looking for ways to innovate while staying true to what makes our pizza special,” said Julie Younglove-Webb, CEO of Lou Malnati’s. “With Trippple Peppp, we wanted to create the ultimate pepperoni experience. Stacking three pepperoni styles lets us deliver the variety, intensity, and bold flavor our customers crave in every bite.”

Lou Malnati’s said the pizza is handmade from scratch using the family recipe that has defined the brand since its founding in 1971. The Trippple Peppp Pizza is available for a limited time in both deep-dish and thin-crust versions at all locations for dine-in, carryout and delivery.

Customers nationwide can also order frozen versions in two-, four- and six-pack formats through TastesofChicago.com, where the pizzas are handmade, flash-frozen and shipped ready to bake at home.
