STEF Wins Sustainability Award

The PURES Trophy (partners for a real commitment to the environment and social systems) awarded by PEPSICO France rewards initiatives of partners of PEPSICO France in the field of sustainable development. For PURES’s first edition, STEF won first prize in the “Social Initiative” category for its “Mission Handicap”. On March 19, the PURES Trophy for “Social Initiative” was handed to Céline Liegent, Human Resources Manager for the logistics division of STEF, and to Robert Isabella, Human Resources Manager for Diversity and Quality of Life at Work at STEF. Robert Isabella is in charge of “Mission Handicap” for the Group. This Mission, rewarded by PEPSICO France, led to a substantial increase in the employment of disabled people: they accounted for 4.35% of STEF’s workforce at the end of 2011, versus 2.78% at the end of 2006. Céline Liegent said: “The programs implemented by « Mission Handicap » are a fantastic way to bring people together, as they increase the feeling of well-being at work not only for our disabled employees but for our entire community. They bring employees together, regardless of their situation. “Mission Handicap” is a great source of ideas and innovations and its initiatives can be used in other fields such as training or job retention…”.
