In a bid to redefine industry standards in cold chain logistics, Hong Kong-based TAHUHU has partnered with robotics innovator Geekplus to transform its local warehouse into a fully automated, next-generation cold storage facility.
The collaboration marks a significant milestone in the evolution of temperature-controlled supply chain operations, emphasizing heightened efficiency, safety, and scalability.
Driven by the rising demand for faster deliveries and stricter regulatory requirements around temperature-sensitive goods, TAHUHU has turned to automation to streamline its logistics processes. The company’s adoption of advanced robotic technologies from Geekplus—including cold store autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), low-temperature 4-way shuttle systems, and vertical lift modules—has revolutionized the way it manages and moves inventory across various cold zones.

The facility operates across three distinct temperature environments—ranging from chilled storage at 0°C to 4°C, to deep freeze zones at -18°C and -25°C. Despite the harsh conditions, the robotic systems have proven resilient, enhancing operational precision while minimizing contamination risks. Geekplus’ energy-efficient solutions have also contributed to lower operational costs and support TAHUHU’s long-term sustainability objectives.

The success of the current deployment has prompted TAHUHU to expand its automation footprint further, with plans to incorporate Geekplus’ RoboShuttle and SkyCube systems.
