Frigo Logistics Begins Construction of Modern Automated Warehouse

Frigo Logistics, the top deep-freezer logistics provider in Poland, has begun building a new warehouse complex in Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki. In October 2024, the investment’s initial phase will be finished. On July 18, 2023, the business and the general contractor, Kajima Poland, inked a deal, according to a press release.

21,000 pallet slots will be available at the facility that Frigo Logistics is constructing in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. The construction of a distribution section with 6,000 pallet spaces will be the first stage of the investment, which is scheduled to be finished in October 2024. The second phase will involve building a fully automated high-bay warehouse with 15,000 pallet spaces by the end of 2024.

One of the main components of a larger investment strategy of 200 million zlotys that will be put into action in the upcoming years is the investment in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. We gave Kajima Poland the job of building our new distribution center because we were confident that their professionals, who have expertise building huge industrial facilities, would help us finish this difficult project on schedule. At the event to sign the contract with the general contractor, Kris Verbruggen, President of Frigo Logistics, emphasized that the company will begin operating its first warehouse in Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki as early as October 2024.

The complex, which Kajima Poland is constructing, will be Frigo Logistics’ eleventh location in Poland and a crucial stage in the expansion of its distribution network. The proximity of Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki to Warsaw will greatly improve the operator’s logistics capabilities in central Poland. In 2019, Kajima Poland and Frigo Logistics will work together to construct and expand a freezer plant in Radomsko.

On a 5,400 square meter plot, a complex of six buildings with a combined area of 9,500 sqm is being constructed. The biggest one will be a completely automatic, self-supporting warehouse with a capacity of 15,000 pallet spaces that is envisioned for the second phase of the investment. It will have a useful height of 32 meters and 12 floors of storage. The facility will have buildings housing technical and social/office amenities in addition to a distribution warehouse with 6,000 pallet spaces and an expediting area with 11 loading docks.

The centerpiece investment for Frigo Logistics will be the contemporary distribution facility in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. It is a component of the organization’s larger investment strategy, which will set aside about PLN 200 million for the expansion of the company’s operations in the upcoming years. Later on, Frigo Logistics intends to also expand the current plant in Nin in order to meet the expanding demands of the market.

Frigo Logistics now operates 10 facilities as a deep-freeze logistics provider. The operator’s next location will be the warehouse being built in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. The full range of logistics services offered by the organization entails receiving, storing, picking, co-packing, releasing, transporting, and distributing the items.
