Rohlig SUUS Logistics Opens Subsidiary in Ukraine

Rohlig SUUS Logistics has established a new subsidiary in Ukraine, with headquarters in Kyiv, marking a strategic step in its expansion across Central and Eastern Europe.

The move reinforces the company’s long-standing involvement in the Ukrainian market and reflects its recognition of the country’s growing economic importance amid ongoing geopolitical shifts.

The new office will offer a comprehensive portfolio of logistics services, including international and domestic road transport, rail freight, air and sea shipping, intermodal solutions, and customs clearance. The expansion aligns with the company’s ambition to solidify its presence in the CEECA region—Central Eastern Europe and Central Asia—by investing in markets with long-term growth potential.

“The subsidiary in Ukraine is a strategic investment in our international expansion,” said Piotr Iwo Chmielewski, CEO of Rohlig SUUS Logistics. “By entering another market, we continue our geographical diversification approach while consistently building our position as a leading logistics operator in the CEECA region – Central Eastern Europe and Central Asia. We have been providing logistics operations in this country for years, so opening a local subsidiary is another step in the development of our business.” He added, “In light of the changing global situation and the great potential for rebuilding the devastated economy, we are seeing increasing interest in this market — from investors in Poland, as well as across Western Europe, Asia, and the United States.”

Rohlig SUUS has operated in Ukraine for several years through regular groupage road transport services from its logistics hub in Rzeszów, Poland, as well as through its rail and intermodal transport offerings. The company has also developed a dedicated team of logistics professionals focused on Ukraine, including specialists based directly within the country to better support local operations and customer needs.

Andrzej Kozłowski, Member of the Management Board responsible for international expansion in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, noted the company’s forward-looking approach: “We believe that hostilities will soon be halted and that accelerated economic activity in Ukraine will create new opportunities for the logistics sector. Thus we want to be One Step Ahead—ready with proven solutions on this market. Our goal is to support customers in growing their business in Ukraine by providing end-to-end services.”

With Ukraine now added to its operational footprint, Rohlig SUUS Logistics is active in eight countries, including its home market of Poland, along with the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Hungary, and Kazakhstan. The company currently operates over 40 branches and employs more than 2,500 people across the region.

The launch of the Ukrainian subsidiary not only reinforces SUUS’s role as a key logistics partner in the region but also signals confidence in Ukraine’s economic recovery and future integration into broader global supply chains.
