FAM STUMABO Expands Global Presence With New Facilities in Spain, Germany, and US

FAM STUMABO, the Belgian-based specialist in precision cutting solutions for the food industry, is extending its global footprint with new facilities in Spain, Germany, and the United States.

The expansion marks a strategic push to strengthen local service, improve response times, and deepen customer relationships in key markets.

The company has opened new sites in Paterna, near Valencia; Niederzissen, Germany; and Franklin, Wisconsin, each designed to serve as a regional hub offering full-service customer support, technical expertise, and in-house testing. Executives say the investment reflects FAM STUMABO’s long-term strategy of pairing global expertise with localized service.

In Spain, a new 1,000-square-meter facility enhances the company’s 20-year presence in the Iberian Peninsula, adding dedicated space for testing, warehousing, and a showroom. In Germany, the move to a larger site in Niederzissen expands capacity for machine testing and servicing to better support growth across the DACH region. In the US, the Franklin facility now serves as the company’s North American headquarters, consolidating sales, service, technical support, spare parts, and procurement. It also includes a test lab that complements an existing site in Sarasota, Florida, providing broader national coverage.

Each new facility is equipped with test labs and showrooms, allowing customers to evaluate equipment directly or remotely. Clients can send products for testing, receive detailed reports with images and video, and review processed samples before committing to purchases. Industrial-grade refrigeration and freezer storage ensures product integrity during testing, while in-line machine trials at customer sites provide additional real-world evaluation.

The expansion also includes local inventories of high-demand spare parts, enabling faster delivery and improved equipment uptime. Local teams, supported by headquarters in Belgium, provide technical assistance in native languages across a range of food applications, including cheese, meat, poultry, potatoes, and vegetables.

“Our ongoing expansion is part of our long-term strategy to combine global expertise with a strong local presence,” said Mark Van Hemelrijk, chief executive officer of FAM STUMABO. “By bringing our teams, test labs, and technical support close to our customers, we can better anticipate their needs, respond faster, and enable them to stay ahead in a competitive market. We aim to deliver high-performance cutting solutions and, most importantly, to build strong partnerships that help our customers thrive.”
