Nightingale Ice Cream Broadens Reach With Whole Foods Expansion and Multi-Serve Offering

Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches is expanding its footprint in the U.S. grocery channel through a new rollout in select Whole Foods Market locations, alongside the debut of a multi-serve product format aimed at deepening consumer engagement.

The Richmond, Virginia–based company said the expansion includes the introduction of a four-pack offering, marking a strategic shift beyond its traditional single-serve format. The move reflects broader changes in consumer behavior, as demand grows for premium frozen desserts suited to at-home consumption.

The new multi-serve packs are being introduced across a range of key markets, including major metropolitan areas in the Midwest, West Coast, Southwest and Mid-Atlantic regions. The broader distribution signals an effort by Nightingale to build on its momentum within the premium frozen novelty segment while increasing household penetration.

The rollout features several of the brand’s top-performing flavors, including Cookie Monster, Banana Pudding, Strawberry Shortcake and Birthday Cake. By moving into multi-serve packaging, the company is also expanding its in-store merchandising strategy, positioning its products to capture both planned purchases and incremental additions to shoppers’ baskets.

The expansion into Whole Foods Market underscores Nightingale’s push to scale its presence within premium retail channels, as it adapts its product format and distribution strategy to align with evolving consumption patterns.
