The Winter Fancy Food Show 2020 just concluded and frozen food was among the top trends which were evidenced during the event.
Among the many launches, emerging plant-based food brand Cool Beans has debuted three frozen wraps during the event, which took place between January 19-21, 2020 in San Francisco, California.
The three new wraps include:
- Moroccan Gold – inspired by outdoor spice markets, this wrap features a unique combination of bold flavor and distinctive texture;
- Spicy Chipotle – inspired by Mexican flavors, the wrap features a mix of veggies and a kick of poblano chili peppers;
- Tikka Masala – A nod to India’s diverse culture, the wrap blends traditional Indian-style spices and coconut milk.
“Vegan choices are no longer a category niche and we are excited to be entering the market at this time. We believe our brand is a natural fit and cost-effective solution for an easy-to-prepare meal that nourishes the mind and body,” said Cool Beans CEO Eric Schnell.
Another example of frozen products launched at the Winter Fancy Food Show 2020 are new Wake-N-Bagel flavors by the Little Shop of Bagels – a company from Ashland, Oregon. Introduced at the event, are three options: Onion Bagel, Plain Bagel and Hiker Bagel. Raisin Cinnamon is the next flavor scheduled for release, said the firm.
All Wake-N-Bagel products are made with organic flours and grains and are currently available in fine grocery stores throughout Oregon. However, new accounts continue to be added after the soft launch in September.
For dessert enthusiasts, New York-based ice cream company Van Leeuwen unveiled a range of oat milk ice cream in flavors such as caramel cookie, mocha latte, brown sugar chunk and dark chocolate peanut butter swirl.
The oat milk dessert, which is made from a house-made oak milk base using just water and gluten-free organic oats, organic coconut cream, raw coconut oil, pure cocoa butter and pure can sugar.
