ASDA has extended its partnership with Leeds-based Fuller Foods International, a company specializing in the frozen foods, reports Insider Media.
The procurement agreement encompasses over 175 ASDA branded products, including frozen chips, vegetables, fruit, herbs, and chicken.
Founded by siblings Jason Fuller and Adam Fuller, the firm is expected to generate a revenue of GBP300m in 2019.
The announcement comes as frozen foods have witnessed an increase over the last year. As busy lifestyles and the cost of living continues to rise, consumer demands for cost-effective convenient products are at the forefront of consumers’ spending behavior.
“Extending our long-term relationship with ASDA at a time when the UK food industry must work in partnership is key to our business,” said Jason Fuller, joint CEO of Fullers Foods.
The company will be working with ASDA on a joint plant to face the increasing challenges of the food industry. Creating a faster more commercial network with improved value and availability for ASDA customers while supporting farmers, production facilities and distribution networks throughout the UK and Europe.
