With its GEA Grasso BluGenium series, GEA Refrigeration Technologies has introduced a new line of water-cooled ammonia chillers. These chillers are based on the proven piston compressors from the GEA Grasso V series and offer a narrow width of only 1.2m as well as a small footprint.
The chillers are available in five model sizes, with cooling duty ranging from 280 kW for the smallest model up to the largest unit with 1210 kW (all ratings measured at +12/+6°C). The energy efficiency ratio (EER) is at least 5.2 for all models, and is even 5.5 for the top model.
GEA Grasso BluGenium chillers are specifically designed to offer modest power consumption, have long service lives and low life-cycle costs.
