GRÖNT Enters Europe’s Largest Plant-based Market

In less than a year, the plant-based dishes by Danish brand GRÖNT are launched in all Nordic countries. With the expansion to Finland and Sweden, GRÖNT will soon be available in more than 3.000 grocery stores in the Nordics. Next step for the Danish convenience food brand is to expand to Germany, Europe’s biggest market for plant-based products, a company statement reads.

Danish Tasteful Foods has kept an eye on the plant-based trend and aims to be one of the market leaders in supporting the development in Europe. Since Tasteful Foods launched GRÖNT at COOP in Denmark and Rema 1000 in Norway in the spring of 2021, it’s been a busy year with full focus on alternative proteins. Next focus point is Germany, as the green wave of a plant-based diet is already heavily cemented here.

“We are in the process of establishing an office in Germany in preparation for launching on the German market, which is Europe’s biggest. We are competitive and have a really great product, which fills a gap in the German market. We are a volume business, making it a natural choice to enter the largest markets,” Anders P. Christensen, founder and CEO of Tasteful Foods, the company behind GRÖNT said.

Anders P. Christensen expects GRÖNT to be ready to launch in Germany during the first quarter of 2022.
