British supermarket giant Iceland has announced its upcoming vegan Christmas range, reports LiveKindly. The frozen food line is said to be fully palm oil-free and largely plastic-free.
This holiday season, Iceland will offer a line of party food including mini meat-free cheeseburgers called No Bull Burger Sliders. Additionally, the company will have on sale No Duck Spring Rolls featuring jackfruit, vegetables, and hoisin sauce, while the Tempura Vegetable Selection offers cooked baby corn, green beans, courgette, and pumpkin pieces in a crispy tempura batter.
On the sweet side, Iceland is said to be offering options such as the No Moo Chocolate Snowflakes. The snowflake-shaped puddings feature a hard dairy-free chocolate shell and a gooey center.
Many of Iceland’s holiday options will be plastic-free this year. For those which couldn’t be plastic-free, the company altered the packaging of the products to “significantly reduce” plastic, says the report. Additionally, the range is also palm oil-free, following on from the chain’s pledge to ditch the ingredient last year.
