José Olé is rolling out two new taquito varieties nationwide, aiming to elevate the frozen snack aisle with offerings inspired by traditional Mexican flavors.
The new Premium Taquitos, available in Birria Beef and Pollo Asado, feature ingredients such as ancho chiles, asado spices and antibiotic-free grilled chicken. The company said the products contain no artificial flavors or colors, part of its broader effort to emphasize quality and transparency.
“We know our fans want more from their snacks – more flavor, more satisfaction, and more ways to enjoy every bite,” said Amy Shoemaker, vice president of CPG Sales at Ajinomoto Foods North America. “With our new Premium Taquitos, we’re raising the bar with bold, savory meats and vibrant seasonings that turn snack time into a truly delicious experience.”
The taquitos are made with slow-cooked meats, house-baked tortillas and a blend of traditional spices. The Birria Beef variety takes cues from the Mexican state of Jalisco, combining shredded beef with herbs, spices and ancho chiles, all wrapped in a crispy corn tortilla. The Pollo Asado version features antibiotic-free grilled chicken seasoned with asado spices and wrapped in a golden-fried flour tortilla made with enriched wheat flour and a touch of lime.
José Olé is positioning the products as a quick, restaurant-style option for consumers seeking convenience without sacrificing flavor.
