PLMA’s World of Private Labels, one of the largest exhibitions for private labels, will take place this year May 21-22 at the RAI Exhibition Center in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The organizers of the event expect more than 15,000 trade professionals from 120 countries to attend the upcoming edition. During the two days, visitors which include supermarkets, hypermarkets, discounters, importers/exporters, manufacturers and others will be able to visit more than 2,600 exhibiting companies, the largest number ever, according to PLMA.
The theme of this year’s event will be “Listen to the Buzz” – a phrase that highlights the thousands of conversations that will be taking place on the trade show floor between retailers and exhibitors.
The event will host 61 national and regional pavilions. New pavilions this year include ones from Israel, Dubai, Egypt, Latvia, and South Africa.
What’s more, PLMA’s World of Private Label 2019 will exhibit the latest consumer trends. There will be 600 exhibitors of organic products, more than 250 exhibitors of vegan and vegetarian items, nearly 200 exhibitors of lactose-free products and 150 exhibitors and sugar-free items.
As always, a special attraction of the event will be PLMA’s Idea Supermarket, a space in which private label ranges of around 60 retailers in Europe, United States, Latin America, Africa, and Asia will be put on display. In the same area, visitors will be able to check out a special display of the winning products of PLMA’s International Salute of Excellence Awards. These awards recognize the outstanding food and non-food private label products that have been launched by supermarkets, hypermarkets, discounters and specialty stores in the past year.
On top of that, PLMA’s New Product Expo will showcase more than new 600 products. A day before the event is set to kick start, PLMA has scheduled a seminar program at the Forum Zaal at the RAI where the winners of the 2019 International Salute of Excellence Awards will be announced. A presentation by industry experts is also part of the schedule.
