Rohlig SUUS Logistics Expands Central European Network With New Poland–Slovakia Groupage Route

Rohlig SUUS Logistics is expanding its cross-border distribution network in Central and Eastern Europe with the launch of a new daily groupage route linking Rzeszów in Poland with Košice in Slovakia.

The connection strengthens the company’s logistics footprint in the region while extending its nationwide road coverage across Slovakia.

The newly introduced Rzeszów–Košice service operates in both directions on working days and offers a transit time of 24 hours. Designed for less-than-truckload shipments, the line supports efficient distribution across eastern Slovakia while remaining fully integrated with SUUS’s domestic transport network in Poland. Customers can therefore incorporate the route into broader logistics operations, including shipments to and from other Polish regions and onward connections to European markets.

The route forms part of a wider groupage distribution framework spanning Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary, covering the so-called V4 region and reinforcing the company’s regional road network.

The Košice connection complements a series of existing routes already serving the Slovak market. The company operates daily services from Katowice to Zvolen and Martin, which provide coverage for central Slovakia, as well as a line from Katowice through Brno to Bratislava that links western Slovakia with the Czech market.

On the Polish side, operations for the new route are handled through the company’s logistics center in Rzeszów. The facility provides a full range of services including warehousing, cross-docking, customs clearance and value-added solutions such as co-packing.

The expansion reflects the strategic importance of Slovakia’s industrial economy, where efficient transport links remain critical to supply chains across Europe. Gergely Fonod, Managing Director of Rohlig SUUS Logistics in Slovakia, said the country’s economy is heavily influenced by sectors such as automotive and electronics, both of which depend on steady flows of raw materials and finished products across borders.

Rohlig SUUS Logistics has operated in Slovakia since 2020 and today offers a broad portfolio of logistics services in the country. These include international and domestic road transport for both LTL and full-truckload shipments, warehousing at its logistics hub in Bratislava with value-added services, as well as rail, sea and air freight and customs solutions.
