Roman Wedel Named Frostkrone CSO

Frostkrone Food Group announced the appointment of Roman Wedel as its new Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) and Corporate HR Director, underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.

The Group, which operates eight production facilities globally and employs around 1,300 people, is strengthening its focus on sustainable business practices.

In his new role, Wedel will be responsible for driving the Group’s sustainability strategy and overseeing its implementation. To equip himself for this challenge, he successfully completed the Leading Sustainable Corporations Programme at Oxford University in 2024. In addition to his new duties, Wedel will continue to lead the Group’s human resources as Corporate HR Director.

Having joined Frostkrone Food Group in 2009 as a controller, Roman Wedel has progressively expanded his role within the company, particularly in leading sustainability initiatives. His new appointment reflects the increasing significance of sustainability in the company’s overall strategy and marks a key step in its continued evolution.

“Sustainability is an essential priority that we are already actively pursuing across many areas of the business. I am excited to take on this vital responsibility and to further shape our approach,” said Wedel.

This leadership move sends a clear message of Frostkrone’s long-term commitment to sustainability, providing a strong platform for the future development of its people and operations across the Group.
