Diversified Communications has decided to postpone Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global to September 7-9, 2021 at the Gran Via venue in Barcelona, Spain.
“This postponement is an unavoidable consequence of the continued magnitude of the public health and safety issues caused by COVID-19, which are not yet showing the types of encouraging trends we have been hoping for,” a statement reads. “We have been closely monitoring the world health situation, government regulations, and travel restrictions while carefully considering the concerns that have been addressed to us by customers and attendees. Unfortunately, it has become evident that April 2021 would be too early to convene the global seafood industry.”
The decision to move the event to September 2021 was based on the availability Fira de Barcelona was able to provide.
While planning for our 2021 event, the organizers continue to closely follow the situation around COVID-19. They are also exploring contingency plans to provide business continuity for the seafood community. The 2022 edition of Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global is scheduled in the same time frame as in past years – in April 2022.
