At the official 2022 SIAL Innovation awards ceremony, the recipients of the much awaited gold, silver, and bronze prizes, as well as the unique Own The Change and Public Award prizes, were announced.

The Gold Award was won by IO’Dés by Zalg, a frozen seaweed ready to sauté for a crispy texture, made with Breton micro-algae rich in iodine fibre and minerals. The jury selected the French frozen product for qualities such as easy-to-use, delicious, healthy, practical, and fair-trade.

The Silver Award went to the fruits and vegetables category, as the winner was Thai Coconut Public Company Limited for its 100% Fresh Frozen Wolffia. It is a frozen watermeal rich in plant-based protean, rich in fibre, minerals and vitamins.

The Bronze Award was given to Maté Taragüi First Experience Kit by Establecimiento Las Marias (Argentina), more precisely a kit for preparing yerba maté – a source of caffeine, antioxidants, vitamin B. and minerals.

The Public Prize, voted by industry professionals online, was won by La Truitelle for its tinned organic mountain trout, raised and processed in France with artisanal preparation.

The Own The Change Prize was awarded to New Plant-based Soon range by Olga, a yogurt substitute made with French plant milk, spelt, or hemp.
