Enex Technologies has received validation for its greenhouse gas reduction targets from the Science Based Targets initiative, reinforcing its role in Europe’s industrial decarbonization efforts and aligning its strategy with internationally recognized climate benchmarks.
The approval covers both near- and long-term emissions targets, marking a key milestone in the company’s environmental, social and governance agenda. It also underscores Enex Technologies’ positioning in the market as a provider of natural refrigerant solutions across heating, ventilation, cooling and refrigeration systems, including carbon dioxide, ammonia, propane and water-based technologies. The company operates in more than 125 countries, supported by 12 industrial sites across Italy, France, Spain and Slovakia.
Under its near-term commitments, Enex Technologies aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 63.0% by 2035, using 2024 as a baseline. Over the same period, the company plans to cut Scope 3 emissions—those generated across its broader value chain—by 37.5%, reflecting a growing emphasis on indirect emissions in corporate climate strategies.
Looking further ahead, the company has set long-term targets aligned with a net-zero trajectory. These include a 90.0% reduction in both Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2050, alongside a 90.0% reduction in Scope 3 emissions over the same timeframe. The targets outline a comprehensive pathway for reducing the company’s overall carbon footprint across operations and supply chains.
The Science Based Targets initiative’s validation indicates that the company’s approach is consistent with the level of emissions reductions required to limit global temperature increases in line with climate science. The endorsement places Enex Technologies among a growing group of industrial companies committing to measurable, science-driven climate action as regulatory and market pressures intensify.
