White Lily, a staple in Southern kitchens for more than 140 years, is moving beyond its traditional flour business with the introduction of a new line of frozen, ready-to-bake biscuits, signaling an effort to capture growing demand for convenience foods that retain a homemade feel.
The company said its White Lily Frozen Biscuits are designed to replicate the texture and taste long associated with the brand, while reducing preparation time to under 30 minutes. The launch brings a heritage baking product into the freezer aisle, where consumers increasingly seek products that balance speed with familiarity.
The biscuits are made using 100% soft winter wheat flour, a key component of the brand’s identity, known for producing a lighter, more tender crumb. The result, the company said, is a product that bakes into a consistent golden finish with a soft, airy interior.
The initial rollout includes two varieties: a Southern buttermilk version, characterized by a tangy flavor and soft texture, and a classic butter option offering a richer taste with flaky layers. Both are positioned as versatile staples, suited for breakfast sandwiches, traditional biscuits and gravy, or as a side dish at dinner.
Each 27 oz. package contains 12 biscuits that can be placed directly from the freezer into the oven, eliminating the need for mixing or preparation. The company said the product is intended to deliver a reliable outcome for consumers seeking convenience without sacrificing quality.
White Lily Frozen Biscuits are scheduled to appear in select Southeastern retail stores beginning this spring, as the brand expands its presence in the frozen food category.
