allplants announces the launch of their new delivery packaging, offering a more sustainable solution in their new brand design.
The switchover in packaging ensures that all allplants delivery packaging will now be curbside recyclable. This allows the brand to remove the need for carbon-intensive box returns; a great result for both customers and the planet. Last year allplants started searching for an enhanced packaging solution – one that has a minimal environmental impact and still keeps their dishes cool and frozen.
The previously used denim liner in boxes would often end up in landfill, plus generating carbon emissions from transporting the box returns. After extensive research and testing, the allplants team found an alternative to the inner denim liner, that didn’t compromise on the quality of food and still guaranteed a great customer experience, allowing food to stay frozen in the box until 10pm.
The new solution is saving 7.5 tonnes going into landfill per year, including 3 tonnes of plastic. The new corrugated liner is 100% biodegradable, compostable and recyclable. “The team at allplants are so excited about this evolution – not only in our packaging, but also in our commitment to sustainability. Our journey goes beyond serving delicious, healthy, plant-based meals; it’s about showing an alternative brighter path for the food industry,” Jonathan Petrides, founder of allplants said.
The new outer box also reinforces the brand’s core brand properties of sunshine yellow and bright packaging, through the new brand world work done with Pearlfisher. This new direction reinforces the allplants mission to disrupt the pre-prepared food industry with premium, nutritionally balanced chef-prepared meals, and continue to generate an appreciation and appetite for the power of plants.
