Conagra Unveils More Than 50 New Frozen Products

Conagra Brands is rolling out an expansive portfolio of over 50 new frozen food items this June, underscoring its position as a dominant force in North America’s branded food sector.

With a broad slate of single-serve and family-size meals, as well as plant-based and gluten-free options, the company aims to capture evolving consumer preferences around flavor, convenience and dietary needs. The launches span a range of its flagship brands, from heritage names like Marie Callender’s and Banquet to rising stars in health-forward and global cuisines.

“Our culinary team has crafted many recipes that we are proud to bring to the frozen foods category,” said Burke Raine, President, Refrigerated & Frozen for Conagra Brands. “As a leader in frozen foods, we recognize that consumers turn to our brands for great taste, convenience and value. We’re excited to see the response as they enjoy these delicious new offerings.”

Conagra’s approach appears to reflect a dual strategy: leveraging nostalgia and comfort through classic dishes, while simultaneously responding to market trends favoring global flavors, clean labels and plant-based innovation. With over USD1 billion in quarterly net sales, the company is well positioned to set the tone for the frozen food aisle.

Among the most attention-grabbing introductions is a line of Southern-style single-serve meals developed with country music icon Dolly Parton. The four dishes, including Chicken & Dumplings and Shrimp & Grits, are priced at USD4.49 and follow the success of her frozen desserts line last year. Elsewhere, Banquet has teamed up with Mike’s Hot Honey for a spicy-sweet take on chicken mac and cheese, while evolving its MEGA line with new protein-heavy entries like Sweet & Sour Chicken and Carved Turkey.

Conagra is also bolstering its Healthy Choice offerings, the leading brand in the USD2.1 billion better-for-you single-serve category, with globally inspired dishes such as Chicken Lo Mein and Vodka Chicken Pasta. Marie Callender’s, another stalwart in comfort cuisine, adds options such as Fried Chicken & Mashed Potato Bowls and Garlic Butter Steak Bites, targeting both single-serve and family-size segments.

The emphasis on restaurant-quality flavors continues with new additions from P.F. Chang’s Home Menu, including a Mongolian-style Beef bowl and a family-size Chicken Dumplings pack. Indian-inspired cuisine, which has seen 18% growth in frozen over the past three years, is also making headway through evol’s new Butter Chicken dish, reflecting broader consumer curiosity around global fare.

Conagra’s push into family-size meals includes three new Marie Callender’s oven bakes—Chicken Alfredo, Cheesy Chicken & Rice, and Chicken Parmesan—all designed to serve four to five people and priced at USD9.99. Bertolli, a leader in frozen Italian meals, adds two multi-serve skillet meals featuring Chicken Penne with Pesto or Vodka Sauce, as well as oversized Meatballs in Marinara. Similarly, Birds Eye Voila! delivers a Buffalo Chicken skillet dish in both 42 oz. and 60 oz. formats, capitalizing on America’s ongoing love affair with spice.

Smaller brands in the portfolio are also receiving fresh additions. Blake’s enters the multi-serve space for the first time with Cheesy Chicken & Rice Casserole and Classic Beef Pot Roast. Chef Boyardee, which ventured into frozen last year, expands its lineup with Chicken Carbonara and Chicken Primavera in 40 oz. servings.

In the vegetable aisle, Conagra is introducing a new Birds Eye line of buttery and cheesy vegetable sides designed to elevate mealtime staples. With butter and cheese among the most popular at-home flavor additions, Birds Eye Ultimate Sauced Vegetables double down on indulgence, offering options like Ultimate Butter Sauced Corn and Cheesy California Blend. A separate Steamfresh line introduces globally inspired vegetable medleys, including Mediterranean and Tuscan-style blends, ready in minutes and priced at USD2.49.

Alexia also makes a play for upscale vegetable sides with its new Broccoli & Aged Cheddar, reflecting growing interest in chef-inspired takes on classic produce.

On the health-conscious front, Conagra continues expanding its gluten-free and plant-based portfolios. Udi’s introduces a certified gluten-free family-size Chicken Enchilada dish made with antibiotic-free chicken, retailing at USD14.99. Gardein, a key player in plant-based meals, adds Ultimate Ste’k Tips and Spicy Saus’ge Crumbles, plus revamped Breakfast Saus’ge patties and a new Fried Chick’n Mac & Cheeze Bowl, priced between USD4.99 and USD8.99. Purple Carrot, known for its 100% vegan offerings, adds Portobello Mushroom Ravioli with a hearty legume medley to its lineup.

Breakfast is not overlooked in this launch cycle. Odom’s Tennessee Pride adds two maple-infused pork sausage products—a 12-pack of snack-size biscuit sandwiches and an 18-pack of cook-ready sausage patties—priced at USD6.99 and USD7.49, respectively.

As frozen aisles face increasing competition from both premium entrants and value-focused offerings, Conagra’s sweeping product launch is a bid to secure broader market share by delivering on multiple consumer expectations at once. Whether it’s bold flavor profiles, healthier ingredients, convenience or sheer variety, the company is betting that its latest innovations will meet the moment—and the appetite.
