Dirafrost Frozen Fruit Industry, the Belgian producer of frozen food and industry solutions, launched their frozen fruit smoothie portions in the retail segment. All freshly frozen ingredients are packed in 150g bags, which results in one big portion, or two regular portions. In each consumer box, one can find two portioned bags, ready for use.
Having built up more than 30 years’ worth of expertise, Dirafrost decided to present these healthy snacks in retail, directly to the end consumer under the Belgian Dira brand.
Before the pandemic, trends such as ‘health’, ‘convenience’, and ‘plant-based’ were already in the picture, but since COVID-19 showed up globally, more people are getting motivated to make healthier choices and adopt healthier habits, the company says. These patterns are expected to remain in the post-COVID-19 world. ‘Being aware of what you eat’ and ‘taking up a healthier lifestyle’ has never been more important than today, and Dirafrost says it aims to have a significant contribution in that area.
