Because of the coronavirus crisis, the Greek government has decided to suspend the operation of all trade show organizing companies, as well as of all exhibition and conference facilities, an official statement says. To avoid the further spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, authorities have already put into place a series of firm measures, both in Greece and internationally (prohibition of unnecessary movements, hotel closure, travel ban, compulsory 14-day quarantine for all those entering the country, etc.).
Given that the aforementioned measures are escalating and extended indefinitely, the preparation for the successful organization of Food Expo Greece 2020 in May is practically impossible. The trade show had already been postponed from March 7-9 to May 16-18.
“We would like to thank you all for your understanding as well as your continued support of the Food Expo trade show, and we would like to assure you that the largest Food & Beverage exhibition in South-East Europe will return on 20-22 March 2021, following the conditions of social and commercial regularity we all desire”, the statement reads.
