Frostkrone Showcases New Beertroot Tots

Beetroot Tots from Frostkrone’s new ready-to-eat range are one of the TOP 10 innovations at this year’s Anuga. An expert jury of journalists and market experts selected them as one of the ten most important innovations from a total of 67 TOP Innovations 2021. The Frostkrone Food Group can hereby secure one of the most prestigious awards of the internationally highly regarded trade fair with its new snack range for the chilled food sector.

The Beetroot Tots are small vegan vegetable snacks made up of beetroot, potato, onion and apple flavoured with the slightly piquant aroma of horseradish and scrumptiously enveloped in a mild coating of millet, quinoa and linseeds. They have a Nutri-Score of A, according to a press release. “We are delighted that the Beetroot Tots from our new Ready-to-eat range have been chosen and would like to thank the jury for this award. This finger food range takes us in exciting new directions and we now offer the variety of finger food and snacks in the chilled sector that we have already been offering in the frozen sector for many years,” explains Andrea Schramm, head of corporate marketing at Frostkrone Food Group.

At Anuga 2021, the Frostkrone Food Group is launching a ready-to-eat range destined for the chilled cabinets. It offers consumers a huge selection of vegan and vegetarian flavours – snacks with a medley of vegetables, some just with cheese or others married together in a vegetable and cheese mix – and there are also variations with chicken. The selection also includes several kinds of falafel. Other varieties making up the new range include Lentil and Carrot Coins, Broccoli and Gouda Tots, and Chicken Tikka Masala Coins.

These small, practical products come as coins, tots or mini balls in the easy-to-handle 100g pack. These can be enjoyed either hot or cold. They are also provided frozen for foodservice. Thanks to the special manufacturing process, the products can be eaten immediately without having to be heated up beforehand.
