Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, the Florida-based frozen dessert brand known for its Italian ice, soft ice cream, and signature “Jelati” combinations, is making a significant move into the ice cream cake market.
With the introduction of its new “Hop-Away Treats” menu, the company aims to expand its footprint in the competitive frozen dessert category by offering a new line of shareable, take-home products.
The centerpiece of the launch is the brand’s first-ever ice cream cake offering, dubbed Jelati Cakes. The cakes layer Jeremiah’s popular Italian Ice and Soft Ice Cream with indulgent cookie and candy inclusions, drawing inspiration from the brand’s most popular “Flavorites.” The initial lineup includes three varieties—Oreo Mud Pie, Strawberry Shortcake, and Birthday Cake—with plans to introduce seasonal flavors throughout the year. Each cake is designed to serve eight to ten people and retails for approximately USD30.
“For years, our guests have purchased their ice cream cakes elsewhere—but we’re ready to change that,” said Michael Keller, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeremiah’s Italian Ice. “Hop-Away Treats represents a major step forward for our brand, allowing us to deliver the flavors our fans love in a new format that better fits their lives, creates new occasions to enjoy Jeremiah’s, and positions us to stand out in a large, highly competitive segment.”
In addition to Jelati Cakes, the new menu features Oreo Ice Cream Sandwiches—soft ice cream layered between Oreo cookie wafers—and Hop & Go Quarts, which offer quart-sized servings of Italian Ice and Jelati for at-home consumption. Both product formats are designed for convenience and aim to capture demand for frozen desserts beyond in-store visits.
Jeremiah’s entry into the ice cream cake category comes as part of a broader strategy to expand consumer touchpoints and generate new revenue streams. The company is investing in product design, packaging, and third-party delivery partnerships to support the rollout and ensure broad accessibility.
“This launch is not only a menu innovation—it’s a strategic expansion of how, when, and where our guests can enjoy Jeremiah’s,” Keller said. “By investing in product design, packaging, and delivery partnerships, we’re setting the stage for long-term growth while staying true to the flavor, fun, and quality that have defined Jeremiah’s for nearly 30 years.”
The new Hop-Away Treats collection is available nationwide, with distribution across participating Jeremiah’s locations and expanding retail and delivery channels.
