Starting July 1, 2018, Keck and Danrice are operating under the new name of Ebrofrost Germany GmbH and Ebrofrost Denmark A/S (www.ebrofrost.com). The companies of the group will be presenting themselves in the future under the name of “Ebrofrost”. All of the rights and obligations will be transferred to it, but for the customers, nothing has changed except for the name and the logo.
The cooperation, merger, and joint company name – Keck Spezialitäten GmbH (fresh dough pasta, Asian noodles) and Danrice A/S (rice, grains, and lentils) have reached an agreement on all of these three stages at the beginning of their collaboration. The objective was
- To bundle the know-how for deep-frozen food (IQF), which will be cooked exactly to customers’ options
- To optimize production and product development
- To attain synergy effects in purchasing as a member of the Spanish Ebro Foods and
- To be able to serve the customers still better with tailor-made solutions.
Since 2014, both companies have worked under the joint holding Ebrofrost with production plants in Offingen, Germany (pasta) and Ørbæk, Denmark (rice, grains, and lentils). The British market is supplied in part by a new plant operating in East Sussex. In North America, the first production lines have started their operations. Specialists from both plants support first and foremost manufacturers of stir- fry dishes and ready meals. Customers from the multi-unit foodservice industry have been assisted with all of the lines of products by the competence center in Offingen since 2016.
Stephan Keck, the managing associate of Ebrofrost, looks optimistically into the future: “The collaboration Keck – Danrice has measured up to all expectations – even our own, but especially those of our customers, who see Ebrofrost as one of the most efficient partners on the market”.
