What are the primary challenges currently facing the seafood market, particularly in the frozen sector?

Seafood ranks as one of the most widely traded food products globally, creating unique challenges in the global supply chain. As a result, industry collaboration is essential to building partnerships, addressing key issues and exploring innovative solutions. Technology plays a key role in overcoming these challenges, particularly for the frozen sector, with advancements in automation, digitalization and sustainable aquaculture driving improvements in efficiency and product quality. Sustainability and regulatory compliance have become top priorities for the frozen sector as well, with stricter requirements for traceability. In response, the frozen industry is developing increasingly sophisticated solutions, from innovative production techniques to enhanced logistics and distribution systems, reinforcing its competitiveness on a global scale. Within this landscape, Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global serves as a platform for businesses, experts and stakeholders to exchange knowledge, establish strategic partnerships and explore new market opportunities in the frozen sector.

How does the expo plan to address issues such as sustainability and traceability within the seafood industry?

Sustainability and traceability are central topics in this year’s conference program.
