Pomuni’s frozen division has been supplying potato products to Tesco for many years. Now the company announced it has been awarded excellent results during an unannounced Tesco audit.
During the occasion, Pomuni Frozen was assessed using stringent quality standards, as defined in “Tesco’s Food Manufacturing Standard” (TFMS). The manifest ensures that all products sold at Tesco are safe and comply with legal requirements and meet consumer quality expectations.
“We have attained the green level, which is the 2nd highest level. Despite renovation and expansion works, we managed to achieve an extremely good result thanks to the daily efforts of all departments within the company,” said Michiel Gijbels, quality manager at Pomuni.
Pomuni Frozen is a subsidiary of Pomuni that produces potato varieties such as potato croquettes, duchess potatoes, potato balls, potato stars and more.
In related news, the company’s Trade division was recently awarded the highest possible score during a BRC/IFS audit, which took place at the end of January.
