ProSweets Cologne to Become ISM Manufacturing

Starting in 2027, ProSweets Cologne, the international trade fair for suppliers in the sweets and snacks industry, will be rebranded as ISM Manufacturing, reflecting a broader strategy to unify Koelnmesse’s confectionery trade fair portfolio under the ISM brand.

The move aims to integrate the entire value chain—from raw materials and production technology to packaging and finished products—into a single, globally recognized platform. ISM Ingredients, a new event dedicated to ingredients and raw materials, will launch in 2026, further extending the brand’s reach.

“With the realignment and renaming of ProSweets Cologne to ISM Manufacturing, we are creating a uniform brand and a trade fair world that brings the entire production process of sweets and snacks alive on-site. For exhibitors and trade visitors this means a clear orientation, more efficient processes and new networking options—all under a strong, uniform brand presence,” said Oliver Frese, chief operating officer of Koelnmesse GmbH.

The rebranding responds to shifting market demands and the growing interconnection of processes in the confectionery industry. Today, production, packaging, and raw materials are increasingly linked, and the new ISM structure is designed to strengthen the supplier industry’s integration, provide greater visibility, and facilitate professional and business dialogue across the sector. Complementary tools such as a unified website, a centralized ticket shop, a trade fair app, and consistent networking platforms are intended to streamline planning and interaction for companies and visitors alike.

While the ISM Manufacturing name will replace ProSweets Cologne, the fair’s core thematic sections will remain intact. Since its founding in 2006, ProSweets has served as a central platform for suppliers, machine manufacturers, packaging technology providers, and production process specialists. Under the new branding, the fair will continue to highlight packaging materials, packaging technology, production technology, and operating equipment and auxiliary devices, with an emphasis on machines, plants, and integrated production solutions, now more closely aligned with the broader ISM portfolio.

Meanwhile, ISM Ingredients, set to debut in 2026, will consolidate the former “World of Ingredients” segment from ProSweets Cologne. The event will focus on high-quality raw materials, innovative ingredients, and sustainable solutions, catering to manufacturers, suppliers, and trade visitors across the sweets and snacks industry.
