Norman Hartley has been promoted to director of transport operations at Yorkshire-based Reed Boardall, a company that specializes in temperature-controlled storage and delivery.
Hartley, who was formerly the head of transport operations, started with the company in 2006 and has since advanced to a number of positions, such as operations shift manager and planning manager.
Norman Hartley’s new position entails assessing and creating systems to boost productivity and accomplish organizational growth.

One of the major temperature-controlled food distribution companies in the UK, Reed Boardall stores and ships frozen food from producers all around the UK, Europe, and beyond to all the top supermarkets in the country. Its 200-strong fleet of vehicles runs around-the-clock and moves 12,000 pallets on average per day while storing goods worth about £100 million for its clients. At its lone location in Boroughbridge, Yorkshire, it has around 800 employees.
