Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard, the world’s largest Italian Ice concept, has announced the introduction of its latest seasonal flavor in collaboration with the popular multi-sensory confection, NERDS candy.
The NERDS Grape flavored Ice will be available for a limited duration at all Rita’s establishments commencing July 8. This highly anticipated flavor, combining sweetness, crunch, and tanginess, invites patrons to experience a nostalgic taste sensation this summer at Rita’s, the company says.
In conjunction with NERDS, Rita’s has also presented BABY NERDS, a novel dessert topping making its inaugural appearance at Rita’s locations nationwide on July 8, preceding its official introduction to the broader Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry in Spring 2025. These diminutive versions of NERDS candy, while smaller in size, retain the full flavor profile of their larger counterparts. This innovative topping will be incorporated into Rita’s menu starting July 8, enhancing the Rita’s experience.
Capitalizing on the NERDS brand’s popularity, Rita’s offers NERDS Grape flavored Ice in a Rita’s Gelati, layered with creamy Vanilla Custard and garnished with BABY NERDS. For those preferring a beverage option, the NERDS Grape flavored Gelati Blender, an Italian Ice drink blended with Custard and topped with BABY NERDS, provides a refreshing alternative for patrons throughout the summer season. The NERDS Grape Ice and BABY NERDS topping can also be incorporated into Rita’s extensive menu of signature confections.
