Seafood Expo Global 2026: Innovation Takes Center Stage

Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global returns to Barcelona from 21 to 23 April 2026 at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue for its 32nd edition, bringing together global suppliers, buyers, and industry leaders.

Last year’s event brought more than 35,000 industry professionals and 2,187 exhibiting companies from 87 countries.

Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global will gather the global seafood industry in Barcelona from April 21 to 23, 2026, offering a comprehensive platform for companies to discover the latest innovations and strategic insights from across the seafood supply chain. Taking place at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue, the event’s 32nd edition comes at a pivotal moment for the global industry, as companies increasingly look to innovation and sustainability to meet evolving consumer and market demands.

Recognized as the world’s largest and most diverse seafood trade event, the Expo brings buyers of packaging, processing equipment and services looking to source the latest innovations in freezing technology, cold storage solutions and processing equipment that enhance product quality, extend shelf life and improve operational efficiency across the supply chain.

The exhibit hall will also feature a wide range of companies from around the world displaying the latest seafood products -from fresh and frozen to canned, value-added, processed and packaged. High-volume buyers of seafood from channels including supermarkets, retail, foodservice and distribution, will attend to discover new products to meet their customers’ demand.

Key highlights include the Seafood Excellence Global awards, recognizing the best seafood products at the event. Two grand prizes will be judged by a panel of high-volume buyers and awarded for the Best Retail Product and the Best Hotel/Restaurant/Catering (HORECA) Product. Four special awards will be presented for innovation, convenience, retail packaging and seafood product line. All products submitted for the awards will be on display throughout the event in the Galleria.

The new Aquaculture Innovation Zone, located in Hall 1, will showcase companies developing advanced aquaculture technologies and practical solutions designed to improve efficiency, sustainability and production performance. The dedicated area will also host networking meetups, expert-led sessions and company presentations, creating a focused environment for collaboration and knowledge exchange. The event’s 2026 conference program will feature more than 20 educational sessions, presented by leading seafood industry expertson key topics including aquaculture, consumption trends, processing and equipment, product innovation and marketing and sustainable innovation.
