Loma Systems, a global supplier of inspection technologies for food safety and quality, is set to present its latest equipment at CFIA 2026, the food-processing exhibition scheduled for March 10–12, 2026, at Parc Expo Rennes in France.
From Stand 10-H61, the company plans to demonstrate a range of metal detection, X-ray inspection and checkweighing systems aimed at helping French food manufacturers strengthen product safety, quality control and operational efficiency.
Positioning itself as a long-standing partner to the French food industry, Loma has continued to invest in innovation and local support, drawing on its international experience as well as its service and training capabilities. The CFIA exhibition offers the company an opportunity to engage directly with customers, introduce new technologies and show how its solutions address the changing demands of modern production lines across France.
A central attraction on the stand will be the newly enhanced X5C, Loma’s compact X-ray inspection system. The latest version offers improved usability and performance, including faster line speeds of up to 70m per min to support higher throughput and a new 10.1” widescreen interface designed to make operation more intuitive. With a compressed footprint, the X5C is intended for facilities where space and cost efficiency are priorities, particularly in the inspection of retail packaged convenience foods, ready meals and small packaged goods, including those in foil trays or metallised film.
The X5C also incorporates quick-release, tool-free curtains to simplify maintenance and cleaning. Beyond contaminant detection, the system performs product integrity checks, adding an extra layer of quality assurance and safety confidence for manufacturers.
Visitors will also be able to see the X5DE Space Saver X-ray system with Dual Energy technology. Developed as part of Loma’s customer-driven innovation strategy, the system is designed to deliver high contaminant detection performance and can be integrated directly into a production line, with an optional freestanding reject mechanism. Using Dual Energy detection and multi-level algorithms, it is capable of identifying low-density, difficult-to-detect contaminants across a broad range of products, while reducing false rejects and supporting consistent product integrity checks.
From Loma’s combination systems portfolio, the company will display the updated CW3 RUN-WET Combo, which integrates a checkweigher and metal detector. Tested to IP69 ingress rating standards and designed in line with EHEDG guidelines, the system is built for easier cleaning and dependable operation in demanding washdown environments. It also supports RFID access and OPC-UA connectivity, features intended to strengthen data security, traceability and overall factory protection.
Rounding out the display, the IQ4M metal detector will be shown alongside the IQ4H Pipeline system. The IQ4M uses variable-frequency and multi-spectrum detection technologies to achieve high sensitivity across challenging products such as those with high iron, salt or moisture content, and is particularly effective for fresh foods that can generate signals leading to false rejects in conventional systems. By addressing this issue, the system targets a persistent problem faced by many processors. The IQ4H Pipeline, meanwhile, is designed for pumped and free-flowing products, including soups, sauces, slurries and dairy applications, extending Loma’s inspection capabilities across a wider range of production processes.
