The Nicholl Group Becomes Advanta

Packaging specialist the Nicholl Group has unveiled a new name and brand identity at Interpack.

Group companies Nicholl Food Packaging in the UK, Ecopla France, Ecopla Benelux and Germany-based Bachmann Aluminium will now be known as Advanta.  The new name creates a single strong identity to position the company as a leader in the design and manufacture of innovative, high-quality packaging solutions that are both cost-effective and sustainable.

“With different names in different countries, we were not making the most of our pan-European footprint and ability to serve customers on a local, national and international basis,” explains Advanta CEO Fabrice Deriaz. “Equally important, our product range now encompasses solutions in a variety of materials for many different food and non-food markets, so we needed a name that more accurately reflected the breadth of our offering. Advanta brings together all the strengths, resources and experience of our individual businesses into a strong market leader that delivers tailored packaging solutions which help to give our customers the edge over their competitors. While legal entities and our entire communication will migrate over the coming months, we look forward to the positive impact this strong united identity will bring to our customers and us”.
At Interpack Advanta will showcase three ranges which underline the diversity of its products:
Easytin™ smooth wall cup range for pastries and dessertsthe new ConviTray®, which is the first ever PVC- and EPOXY-free ready meal tray to enable in-container pasteurisation for extended shelf-life of fresh products,DeLight®, an ovenable paperboard tray, accompanied with polymer coating and injection moulded rim, which ensures a gas tight lid seal suitable for MAP applications for processed foods.  “Interpack provides the ideal forum to present our new name, extensive product ranges and established skills and expertise to the packaging world,” concludes Fabrice Deriaz.
