Milan will once again become the center of the global food conversation as TUTTOFOOD 2025 prepares to open its doors with a significant international showing.
The trade fair is expected to host over 25% international exhibitors and attract around 90,000 visitors, including more than 3,000 high-profile international buyers. Positioned as a strategic platform for forging partnerships and discovering innovations, the event will bring together Italian, European, and global companies across the entire agri-food supply chain.
The exhibition will feature an expansive range of offerings—from everyday grocery and fresh produce to semi-finished goods—spanning both the retail and foodservice sectors. Visitors can expect technological advancements in food processing and sustainable nutrition.
Quality, authenticity, and innovation remain the cornerstones of the event’s positioning. TUTTOFOOD 2025 will occupy more than 150,000 square meters at Rho Fiera Milano, but its footprint will extend beyond the fairgrounds.
Through TUTTOFOOD Week, the initiative will reach into Milan’s urban fabric with the support of media giant Mondadori. A citywide program will include culinary showcases, expert panels, evening events, curated tastings, thematic exhibition paths, and even film screenings, with over half a million participants expected.
This expanded format is designed to unite established global players with dynamic start-ups, part of a broader exhibitor list that is set to include over 3,000 brands.
The event aims to be a crucible of forward-thinking ideas, with dedicated spaces showcasing circular economy models, waste reduction practices, and sustainable production solutions. TUTTOFOOD Milano is also anticipated to deliver substantial economic benefits. Organizers project an economic impact of EUR15m for Fiere di Parma and an estimated EUR150m for the city of Milan, figures that reflect the broader value the event adds to the Italian economy.
Asia-Pacific Gains Prominence
Of particular note is the Asia-Pacific region’s growing presence. Organizers estimate that 12% of international exhibitors will hail from this part of the world, including China—highlighting its increasing strategic significance.
The region has become a focal point for the global food industry, with NielsenIQ’s 2024 data indicating an organic value growth of 2.7%. This rebound follows a shift from a volume contraction of 0.9% in 2023 to a 2.5% gain in 2024, even as price inflation has slowed from 2.6% to just 0.2%.
Fresh food has emerged as the fastest-growing segment globally, and the Asia-Pacific region has mirrored this trend with a 3% rise in volume, making it the second most dynamic region after Africa and the Middle East. In terms of Italian exports, the Asia-Pacific market posted the strongest volume growth across several key categories in 2024: ground and whole coffee rose 2.3%, pasta by 5.8%, olive oil 6.1%, and tomato concentrate surged by 8.1% year-over-year.
An Italian Experience
TUTTOFOOD’s connection to Milan will be felt beyond the exhibition halls. Visitors strolling through the fairgrounds will experience a celebration of the city’s spirit, which will carry over into landmark locations across Milan through an extensive schedule of cultural and culinary events in the style of “FuoriSalone.”
Meanwhile, the introduction of two new pavilions dedicated to international cuisine underlines the event’s global ambitions. Organizers see TUTTOFOOD as the rightful heir to the legacy of Expo 2015, inheriting its European perspective and commitment to global issues. Over four days, Milan will host a comprehensive gathering of the food industry’s most influential voices.
The event’s central challenge—and opportunity—lies in positioning itself as a permanent and global forum for the sector’s most pressing issues: shifting consumption trends, sustainability, and the ongoing transformation of food systems toward more responsible and conscious practices.
