UK Frozen Fries Market Value Grows

For the 52 weeks ending July 20th, the market share of frozen French fries in the UK grew by 6.2%, to a total value of EUR571m and a volume of 333,505 tonnes, down by 0.6%, according to the latest information issued by the Potato Council in the UK.

Other frozen potato varieties had a market value of EUR354m, up 8.6% and a volume also up by 2.6%, totaling 162,739 tonnes.

Other categories also enjoyed growth in the specified period, among which chilled potato products, which, according to the Potato Council information, had a market value of EUR256m, up by 0.9% and a volume of 54.590 tonnes, down by 2,5%.
