Urschel will present its latest food cutting and processing technologies at the Food Northwest Process & Packaging Expo, as manufacturers continue to prioritize efficiency and precision in high-capacity production environments.
The company is set to exhibit at Booth 402 during the two-day event, taking place April 20–21, 2026, at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. The show, widely regarded as the largest regional food manufacturing trade event in the US, brings together industry professionals to explore equipment innovations, operational solutions and emerging trends.
At this year’s expo, Urschel will highlight a range of processing systems developed in collaboration with KRONEN, aimed at improving throughput and consistency across diverse applications. The lineup includes the Sprint 2 Dicer, the KRONEN GS 10-2 Slicer and the KRONEN KS-100 PLUS Centrifuge/Dryer, each designed to address different stages of the processing line.
The Sprint 2 Dicer is engineered for continuous operation, enabling uninterrupted two- or three-dimensional cutting. Adjustable components allow operators to produce a variety of outputs, including dices, strips and granulations, while maintaining precision through a compact cutting zone.
The KRONEN GS 10-2 Slicer is positioned as a multifunctional solution capable of slicing, dicing, shredding, grating and segmenting a wide range of products. Its belt-fed system and adjustable cutting parameters are designed to offer flexibility without requiring frequent equipment changes. The machine also incorporates sanitary design features and a compact footprint, reflecting growing industry demand for equipment that balances performance with space efficiency.
Complementing these systems, the KRONEN KS-100 PLUS Centrifuge/Dryer is designed to streamline post-washing processes. With programmable settings and a counter-rotating centrifuge cycle, the unit can handle a variety of products, from leafy greens to processed items, while reducing drying times and improving overall efficiency. The system can operate as a standalone unit or be integrated into larger processing lines.
The showcase comes as food manufacturers increasingly invest in automation and processing technologies to address labor constraints, improve consistency and scale production. Equipment suppliers are responding with solutions that emphasize adaptability, ease of use and integration across complex production environments.
The Food Northwest Process & Packaging Expo, now in its 54th year, continues to serve as a key meeting point for the industry, offering a platform for companies like Urschel to demonstrate how processing innovations can support evolving operational demands.
