Raspberry crumble prices are rising and are already “sky high” according to frozen fruit producer Dirafrost.
“The food industry is looking for big volumes of crumble, which is pushing crumble prices up. So, prices are being pushed upward for 3 reasons: first, the extreme drought, second the lack of raw material, and third the high percentage of whole raspberries & low percentage of crumble,” said Dirafrost in a statement.
The Polish raspberry crop is currently ongoing and the quality of the fruit is very good, according to the producer, however, there are more whole raspberries available than crumble in Poland.
