Le Duff Group has reached an agreement to acquire Panamar Bakery Group, in a move that significantly strengthens its position in the premium frozen bakery and Viennese pastry segment.
The transaction, representing the largest acquisition in the group’s history, will be executed through its bakery division Bridor. Panamar Bakery Group is expected to generate USD 695 million in turnover in 2026 and employs approximately 2,600 people, underscoring the scale of the deal.
The acquisition forms part of a broader expansion strategy as Le Duff Group targets USD 4 billion in revenue across its portfolio, which spans bakery, ready meals, catering chains and property activities. The group’s brands include Bridor, Gourming and restaurant concepts such as Brioche Dorée, Del Arte and La Madeleine.
Panamar Bakery Group, a family-owned business with a strong presence in retail, hospitality and foodservice, produces and distributes frozen bakery products, including bread, Viennese pastries and pâtisserie items. The company offers more than 1,200 product lines under several brands and exports to over 20 countries, supported by an integrated production and distribution network.
The deal is expected to enhance Bridor’s industrial and logistics capabilities across the more than 100 countries in which it operates, reinforcing its ability to serve global foodservice and retail markets.
Bridor’s growth trajectory has accelerated in recent years, with turnover rising from USD 869 million in 2021 to USD 2.9 billion in 2026. The company is pursuing an ambitious investment plan aimed at doubling revenue by 2031, combining acquisitions with the expansion and construction of production facilities across multiple regions.
In North America, the company has expanded operations in Montréal and the US, including acquisitions and new plant developments. In Europe, recent investments include acquisitions in Portugal and the Netherlands, as well as new and upgraded facilities in France, Germany, Switzerland and Spain. Expansion efforts are also underway in the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia, New Zealand and China.
Bridor supplies frozen bakery products to approximately 90,000 restaurants, hotels and distribution partners worldwide, including high-end hospitality venues. The company also collaborates with leading pastry chefs and culinary institutions to develop products that reflect a wide range of international bakery traditions.
The acquisition of Panamar positions the group to deepen its presence in Southern Europe while reinforcing its broader ambition to lead the global market for premium frozen bakery and Viennese pastry products.
