Anuga, the world’s leading food and beverage trade fair, will introduce a redesigned hall layout for its October 4-8, 2025 event in Cologne.
This new structure aims to improve navigation and create synergies by grouping related themes together. For instance, Anuga Alternatives and Anuga Organic will be in closer proximity.
The fair’s ten specialized shows will continue to offer a comprehensive global food market overview. Key changes include:
- Hall 1 will now house both Anuga Fine Food and the new Anuga Alternatives, which focuses on plant, insect, algae, fungal, and cell-cultivated proteins.
- Hall 5.2, previously for Anuga Meat, becomes part of the Anuga Fine Food section.
- Hall 7 will feature the “Processed Meat” section and Anuga Drinks.
- Hall 8 will include Anuga Hot Beverages.
- Anuga Out of Home will be integrated into relevant segments rather than existing as a separate show.
- A “Boulevard of Innovation” will showcase start-ups, the Anuga taste Innovation Show, and the Trend Zone.
This restructuring responds to industry trends, particularly the growing demand for alternative proteins. According to Innova Market Insights, insect-based protein products have seen 114% annual growth over five years, while algae-based products are growing at 17% annually.
Jan Philipp Hartmann, Director of Anuga, states that these changes reflect Anuga’s commitment to adapting to industry needs, improving efficiency, and fostering business opportunities.
